Julen Lopetegui has agreed terms with West Ham United to take charge of the team next season according to reports.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano has stated that the former Real Madrid and Sevilla manager has accepted the Hammers' proposal with only the formalities left to be before Lopetegui is officially the new West Ham manager.
Meanwhile, David Ornstein reported that Bayern Munich were interested in the 57-year-old who instead has chosen to join the Irons.
Times have been tough for West Ham in recent weeks. With Moyes' departure essentially finalised the team's form has dropped off with just one win in their last 10 games in all competitions.
That poor run included the Hammers being knocked out of the Europa League by this season's German champions Bayer Leverkusen and most recently a heavy 5-0 loss to Stamford Bridge.
Lopetegui's last role was with Wolverhampton Wanderers where the coach had a record of 10 wins, 6 draws, and 11 defeats.
