Liverpool to hold contract talks with Salah

Liverpool plan to engage in discussions with Mohamed Salah at the end of the season, with numerous reports suggesting the club wants to keep the player beyond the summer.

Last year, there was interest from Saudi Arabia in the Egyptian, sparking speculation about his potential departure while Liverpool could still command a transfer fee for the winger.

Salah is currently under contract until the summer of 2025, with a reported weekly wage of £350,000. 

The new leadership, featuring incoming sporting director Richard Hughes and Fenway Sports Group president Michael Edwards, had intended to postpone any contract talks until the summer months.

With the primary focus on securing a replacement for Jürgen Klopp, which has now been accomplished with the agreement for Feyenoord’s Arne Slot, the club's attention will turn to addressing the contract statuses of its senior players.

All these matters are expected to be resolved during the summer, when Richard Hughes and Michael Edwards will engage in discussions with several key players.
