Barnsley have parted ways with head coach Neill Collins with just one game left in the regular season.

Following their 3-2 defeat against Blackpool last weekend, the Tykes find themselves in fifth place in the table, but their play-off spot is not secured.

The team has struggled recently, winning only twice in their last 11 matches and earning just nine points in that period.

This has put their play-off hopes at risk ahead of their final fixture against Northampton Town at Oakwell.

If they fail to win on final day, they risk dropping out of the play-off places, if two of Lincoln, Oxford, and Blackpool win their games.

During this interim period, Martin Devaney will take charge.

Wow, tough blow for Barnsley! Really thought Collins could lead them to promotion. Hopefully Devaney can step up and secure that play-off spot.

Disappointed to see Collins depart so close to the end of the season, but hopefully this change will bring a fresh energy to the team and help secure our play-off spot. Come on you Reds!
