Brentford and Manchester United ended in a thrilling 1-1 draw at the Gtech Community Stadium, with both teams scoring crucial goals in stoppage time.

It was a must win game for the Red Devils following wins by top-four rivals Tottenham and Aston Villa earlier in the day, but Erik ten Hag's men faced a tough challenge in West London.

The hosts started strongly with Ivan Toney hitting the post with their best chance in the opening half-hour. Zanka Jorgensen also came close with a header that grazed the crossbar.

In the second half, the Bees kept pressing Man Utd and André Onana made some crucial saves to keep Brentford at bay, denying Yegor Yarmolyuk and Keane Lewis-Potter before Yoane Wissa hit the post for the hosts.

Brentford's pressure almost paid off when Toney's volley found the net, but it was ruled out for a marginal offside.

As time ticked away, Brentford continued to create chances, with Bryan Mbeumo hitting the woodwork with a powerful strike.

In a surprising turn of events, Man Utd thought they had secured a late winner through Mason Mount in the sixth minute of added time, sparking celebrations in the away end.

However, Thomas Frank's side quickly responded, with Kristoffer Ajer converting from Toney's assist in the ninth minute of stoppage time to earn a well-deserved point for the Bees.

The draw sees Brentford move five points clear of the relegation zone, while Manchester United lose further ground in the race for the top four.

Wow, what a nail-biting match! As a Brentford fan, I am over the moon with our performance against the mighty Man Utd. We gave them a tough challenge and were so close to securing the win. Gutted that Toney's goal was ruled out, but we showed our quality throughout the game.

Wow, what a game! Both teams fought hard and gave it their all until the last minute. Gutted that Toney's goal was ruled out for offside, but still proud of our performance. On to the next one!

Wow, what a game! Both teams played their hearts out and it was a nail-biting finish. As a Brentford fan, I'm disappointed we didn't come away with the win, but I have to give credit to Manchester United for their late goal. Onana was a wall in goal for them, denying our attacks. We were so close to getting the win, but unfortunately Lady Luck wasn't on our side. Still, a point against a top team like Man Utd

As a Brentford fan, I am incredibly optimistic about our performance against Manchester United. Our team showed determination and resilience, with our players putting their all on the pitch. Despite not coming away with a win, we managed to hold a top team like Man Utd to a draw and even had a few chances to take the lead. The atmosphere at the Gtech Community Stadium was electric and I am confident that our team will continue to improve and surprise many in the Premier League.
