Real Madrid clinched their 36th La Liga title after Barcelona suffered a 4-2 defeat against Girona.
Carlo Ancelotti's side cruised to a 3-0 victory over Cadiz earlier on Saturday, putting the pressure on Barcelona to win their match at the Estadi Montilivi.
Although Barcelona led 2-1 at half-time, Girona's three second-half goals sealed the victory, leaving Real Madrid with a 13-point gap to the second place with four matches remaining in the season.
This is Ancelotti's second La Liga title as Real Madrid's coach, adding to his previous triumph in the 2021-22 season.
Also with this result, Girona surpassed Barcelona, now sitting second place in the La Liga table with a one-point advantage over Xavi's side.
Los Blancos will now shift their focus to the Champions League as they prepare to face Bayern Munich at the Bernabeu in the second leg of their semi-final, following a 2-2 draw at the Allianz Arena.
